Library and Research Center of Western Pennsylvania, Supervised by Moosaa Richardson
In the Name of Allaah…
After 2.5 years of failed efforts to ship the 1MM Library by sea from Saudi Arabia through numerous companies, a decision has been made to separate it from another student’s library (originally intended to save shipping costs by sharing a shipping container), and to ship by air.
Ustaadh Moosaa Richardson has been teaching at the First Muslim Mosque for the last 2.5 years without access to his books (other than a small collection used to read from at the lessons). Yet, maa shaa’ Allaah, laa quwwata illaa billaah, nearly 500 hours of high-quality MP3 recordings have been published from his classes, seminars, and Friday khutbahs in that time, freely available for listening and downloading at our Spreaker channel. It is anticipated that the arrival of the library will further increase the benefit of the classes and enrich our educational experiences even more, by the Permission of Allaah.
Allaah has blessed us with concerned volunteers working to help the library, and recently we found a way to ship this 5.2-ton library by air for just $12,135. Storage fees, X-ray scanning, and other necessary services bring the total costs to: $14,352.
We currently have $5,096, and we hope to cover the remaining costs through a special fundraiser (to be launched momentarily in shaa’ Allaah). UPDATE (1438/07/16, Apr 13, 2017): Initial shipping and clearing costs have been 100% collected, wal-hamdulillaah.
We ask Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, the One through Whom all good things are brought to fruition, that He bless the library and all of its supporters, and that He make it something of great benefit to the Muslims in America. AAMEEN
