Library and Research Center of Western Pennsylvania, Supervised by Moosaa Richardson
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful…
Al-hamdulillaah, after two and a half years of the 1MM Library stuck in transition and many failed attempts to ship it, this morning two large trucks brought the six one-ton pallets of books to their new home – al-Masjid al-Awwal (the First Muslim Mosque) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
All 116 boxes were in generally good condition. Ustaadh Moosaa Richardson began unpacking a few random boxes to check their condition. The first book he examined was a book on criticized narrators by al-Haafith adh-Dhahabee:
So far, the books have been found to be in good condition. Only a couple boxes were unpacked today. We expect to unpack, inspect, stamp, and make the collection publicly available over the next month or so, in shaa’ Allaah. Bookshelves and appropriate reading tables and furniture are being acquired. May Allaah bless the library and all of its supporters.
We need to extend our special thanks to our brothers in Dubai (Jabeel and associates), as well as our brothers in Riyadh, especially Nabil Awan at KITA Logistics, who managed to push the shipping through when others could not. May Allaah reward all of them for their support and assistance in completing this monumental task.
There have been many brothers and sisters supporting us through their supplications and financial support since we began this project, and we thank Allaah for all of them and their support, and ask Him to bless them all and increase them in goodness.
